Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications at the moment are open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house that has a combined gross residence earnings that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic income does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are learning or plan to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to here wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
